Easy Rider Dalat to Hue Tour rides on the amazing 8-day motorcycle journey across the Truong Son Mountain Ranges. We take the road less traveled through the spectacular mountain scenery of the Central Highlands and visit some of the bloodiest battles during the Vietnam War along the famous Ho Chi Minh Trail, which traces the road used by the Viet Cong.

We have time to explore the UNESCO world heritage town of Hoi An, before riding the magnificent roads along the border between Vietnam – Laos. Our motorbike adventure ends in Hue, once the imperial capital of Vietnam.

Itinerary

Day 1: Dalat – Lak (165 km – 5 hours riding)

After breakfast, we set off for our exciting motorbike tour by visiting the must-see highlights of Dalat, including Crazy House, Dalat Former Railway Station, Dragon Pagoda. Next, it’s off to the remote countryside where you can enjoy the scenic view of the terrace fields and broaden your knowledge of how the locals make a living on their farms producing vegetables, flowers, coffee, and mushrooms. Enjoy the winding mountain rides while you take in all the fabulous scenery. Take a break at a beautiful restaurant on the mountain pass and taste some delicious traditional Vietnamese cuisine.

We have some time to trek through the lush green rainforests to relax and enjoy the breathtaking nature of the Central Highlands. Ride through the vast rice fields and observe the rice agriculture of the M'nong ethnic minority people as well as enjoy their smiling faces coming home from their fields.

We arrive at our beautiful hotel that faces Lak Lake in the early evening, check-in, and stay overnight.

Day 2: Lak – Dray Sap Waterfall (130 km – 4 hours riding)

Awake to the sounds of the rural village, enjoy breakfast and a cup of coffee as you watch the morning activities of the M'nong Ethnic Minorities, heading to the fields or rowing their wooden boats to fish on the lake. We'll take a walk through Jun Village to experience the rustic M’nong’s traditional culture and their daily life. Resume back on the motorbike and ride through the small charming villages. We then trek to the peak of the Elephant Rock Mountain and enjoy the feeling of being in nature, a fascinating panoramic view of the whole village. Stop at the brick factory and learn how the hard-working locals produce bricks in their old traditional way.

Head to Dray Sap waterfall via the scenic winding jungle paths, we witness the massive waterfall of the highlands. The natural “Fairy Pool” nearby is well-worth for swimming after an awesome day riding a motorbike. The traditional Long House in the jungle of the highlanders is the place we stay overnight. Our dinner is full of excitement with BBQs and rice cooked in bamboo tubes.

The Ho Chi Minh trail was a logistical system that ran from North to South Vietnam that provided support, in the form of manpower and material to the North Vietnamese Army during the war… And we ride on this stunning trail today to learn about the history, the locals have struggled during the Vietnam War before 1975 and the peaceful life after 4 decades of independence. We take some time to stop at some small villages in the remote countryside to experience how the daily life of the farmers making rice papers, noodles for a living.

We arrive in Chu Se, a small town on the Ho Chi Minh trail, about 5 pm. Check-in and stay overnight.

Greet the morning and chase the sun! We resume back on our motorbike and ride to Pleiku and visit the beautiful “Pearl of Pleiku Plateau”, Sea Lake, which used to be a volcanic crater that went extinct a million years ago. You would be surprised by the cool air, the beautiful and peaceful landscape of greenish pine trees and winding roads, terraced fields on mountains.
Continue to travel to Kon Tum where you visit Kon Tum Prison, Wooden Church, and spend some time playing with the adorable kids at Vinh Son Orphanage.

Ride to the Kon K’tu village where you open the knowledge about the Bahna hill tribe’s culture and tradition remaining untouched by time making this isolated and surprisingly beautiful region home to one of the most authentic minorities to remain in Vietnam. Get back on the bike and ride to our hotel.

Day 5: Kon Tum – Kham Duc (160 km – 6 hours riding)

Riding the Ho Chi Minh Trail is an incredible experience, cruise along and let the amazing scenery take you away. Stop off for a break and get to learn more about the different cultures of the ethnic minority groups such as Se Dang, Gie Trieng, Co Tu who live in the East of Truong Son Mountain Ranges. The historic sites, including Dak To - Tan Canh Battle Fields, Phoenix Airport, and Charlie Hill are interesting sites for a couple of stops to learn how the locals struggled throughout the Vietnam War. Get to Kham Duc, a small mountain town on the Ho Chi Minh Trail, and stay overnight.

Rise and shine for the new exciting day touring motorcycle with Easy Riders Vietnam. Explore the colorful local market of the mountain town of Kham Duc in the early morning to learn how the locals trade their goods are delightful. Get back on the motorbike and continue to ride along the marvelous Ho Chi Minh Trail. Next is off for the ferry to cross Thu Bon River for My Son Holy Land, a unique beautiful sanctuary world of the ancient Cham religion and architecture. Arrive in ancient Hoi An town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, at the hotel around 04:00 pm, check-in and explore this stunning town on foot

After enjoying breakfast at our lovely hotel, we continue our motorbike adventure. We ride to Marble Mountain where you'll enjoy the beautiful scenery of the area and panoramic view of Da Nang City. Get back on the bike and enjoy the smooth ride along the stunning coastal roads. We will twist our way up to the stunning winding Hai Van Pass, into the often cloud-shrouded skies. At the top, we stop and take delight in the spectacular views of Vietnam's most magnificent spots. We then descend and head west towards the Laos border, climbing our way along the laneway into the mountains. We give the bike a break and visit one of the few remaining Co Tu Ethnic Minority woodcarvers and enjoy the hospitable nature at their traditional stilt houses. We resume back on our motorbike ride and continue our journey deep into the mountains, exploring the culture and traditions of the beautiful region home to one of the most authentic hill tribes to remain in Vietnam. We arrive at the small mountain town, P’rao around 5 pm, check-in and explore this small town on foot

Waking up to the sound of Vietnam's rural countryside. We continue our exciting Easy Rider Tour through the rugged mountain roads, following a new section of Ho Chi Minh Trail along the Vietnam - Laos border. We traverse through the lush green rainforests and mountain passes with plenty of opportunities for great photos. Take a break, cool your body at the foot of the mountain waterfall and enjoy the freedom in solitude. We continue our ride through the isolated Bru - Van Kieu hill tribe villages to discover their unique culture and traditions. Our afternoon route leads us descending to the flatlands of Hue, but the ride is no less interesting as we travel through the peaceful country's laneway and take time to visit the infamous A Shau Valley to learn about the Vietnam War, then catch a glimpse of the iconic Perfume River from the hills.

We cruise into Hue, to the hotel of your choice before sunset and finish our indelible motorbike adventure.

Definitely yes, we stop at the local restaurants and help you to order vegetarian food for you! No worries!
I've never been on a motorbike, can I do the tour?
Of course, yes! Most of our customers have never ridden motorbikes before, but they enjoyed every minute of the trip. You don't need to drive a motorbike to travel with us, as you can ride pillion on the back of the motorbike with an experienced tour guide as a pillion pasenger.
